The AeroTech Reloadable Motor System RMS is an aluminum cased reusable motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. You will need AeroTech RMS-54/1706 motor hardware to build and complete the motor for many reliable flights. Motor hardware is available separately in a complete set, and also as individual parts. This motor requires installing a forward seal disc (54FSD) during assembly. Important: High Power RMS reload kits are not compatible with Mid Power RMS products.

The K805G-PS is a Plugged/Smoke motor reload. Plugged reload kits do not utilize a motor-actuated delay or ejection charge. Plugged motors must be used in conjunction with a timer, altimeter or radio-activated recovery system.

This RMS motor reload utilizes RCSs exclusive Mojave Green™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a brilliant green exhaust plume with a moderate amount of smoke. Mojave Green™ motors high density and specific impulse delivers a higher total impulse in each motor size than any other AeroTech propellant.

The AeroTech motor reload kit comes with 1 rocket motor reload. Reload kits include all internal motor components and FirstFire™ Initiators. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 2 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 2 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Leo A. ★★★★★

The aluminum case feels solid and the parts fit together cleanly, way better than the single-use motors I used to toss after every flight. Took me about half an hour on my first RMS-54/1706 assembly, and now I can reload and fly the same hardware all weekend.

David Z. ★★★★★

Building the motor yourself takes a bit of patience, but the reload kit goes together cleanly once you've got the aluminum case hardware on hand. The grain geometry gave me a steady, predictable burn on my last two flights.

Sophia G. ★★★★★

The aluminum casing on this reload kit feels way sturdier than the cardboard ones I've used before, and it cleans up nicely between flights. It's nice knowing I'll get multiple launches out of one purchase instead of tossing hardware every time.
