Machined threads on this forward closure screw in smooth every time, no grit or wobble at all. I've reused it across a dozen reloads and the O-ring groove still seals perfectly.

Snug fit on my 24/40 case right out of the bag, no cross-threading at all. The machined aluminum feels solid and the knurling gives a good grip when I'm tightening it down at the pad.
