The AeroTech Disposable Motor System DMS is a single-use motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. All of the Aerotech DMS motors use all-disposable components. The nozzle and propellant are already installed. You will need to set the desired delay time using the Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT), Not Included, and then pour in the ejection charge. The Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT) is required to adjust to a shorter time delay on all DMS rocket motors and is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

DMS motors feature a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a molded plastic bulkhead and RCSs exclusive Classic Propellant™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation. Classic Propellant™ is a throwback to the Enerjet like propellants of the late 70's-early 80's, a no-smoke, yellow flame with prominent “mach diamonds” and an even burn.

This AeroTech motor pack comes with 1 rocket motor and 1 FirstFire™ Initiator. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 2 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 2 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Owen B. ★★★★★

This thing assembled in about 10 minutes and the thrust curve felt perfectly smooth during the burn. Really solid construction for a single-use motor, and it lit on the first try without any hesitation.

Scarlett ★★★★☆

Assembling the kit was straightforward, and I liked that everything including the nozzle is disposable so there's no cleanup. The motor gave a solid, reliable burn for my mid-sized rocket. Only wish the instructions were a bit more detailed on the tape wrap.

Eli J. ★★★★☆

The motor fit perfectly in my rocket tube, and the DMS assembly was quick even for a first-timer. Only minor nitpick is the instructions could be a little clearer on the nozzle seating.
