Perfect for small groups and family rocket outings.

Quest Q-Jets are the world's most advanced 18mm model rocket motors. Q-Jet™ high performance, composite propellant model rocket motors use the same family of solid propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA’s future SLS moon rocket. They utilize a patent pending high-strength polymer case and bulkhead, ceramic nozzle and RCSs exclusive White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces nearly double the specific impulse (or ISP, a propellant efficiency rating) of conventional black powder propellant. They are not susceptible to thermal cycling like black powder motors. Q-Jet™ White Lightning™ rocket motors deliver a brilliant white exhaust plume, dense bright white smoke trail and a throaty roar as the hallmarks of this popular propellant. Easy to track. Exciting to watch!

This Q-Jet™ 12-Motor Value Pack comes complete with 14 FirstFire™ Micro Initiators and bright orange Parachute Recovery Wadding. All Q-Jet™ motors are U.S.mailable with no hazmat fee!

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Thomas ★★★★★

The composite propellant burns noticeably cleaner than the old black powder motors I used as a kid, and the 18mm size fits our starter rocket perfectly. Six flights in one afternoon and every single one fired on the first try, which is exactly what you want when the kids are watching.

Zoe A. ★★★★★

These little motors lit up our family launch day; the composite propellant definitely gives a smoother, more reliable burn than the old black powder ones we used to use. My son’s Estes rocket flew perfectly straight on the first try, and having a full 12-pack meant we didn’t have to ration flights.

Matthew X. ★★★★★

Even after storing them for a few months, all twelve motors lit and burned perfectly without a single misfire. The composite propellant gives a much smoother, more consistent thrust than the old black powder ones I was used to.
