The AeroTech Reloadable Motor System RMS is an aluminum cased reusable motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. You will need AeroTech RMS-38/600 motor hardware to build and complete the motor for many reliable flights. Motor hardware is available separately in a complete set, and also as individual parts. This motor requires installing a 38mm Forward Seal Disc during assembly. Important: High Power RMS reload kits are not compatible with Mid Power RMS products. You will need to set the desired delay time using the 18-38mm Delay Drilling Tool (RDDT), Not Included. The 18-38mm Delay Drilling Tool (RDDT) is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

This RMS motor reload utilizes RCSs exclusive Blue Thunder™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a gorgeous bright violet-blue flame with a minimum of exhaust smoke. Blue Thunder™ motors provide a higher level of thrust than White Lightning™ motors of the same total impulse and are perfect for high lift-off acceleration.

The AeroTech motor reload kit comes with 1 rocket motor reload. Reload kits include all internal motor components and FirstFire™ Initiators. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 1 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 1 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Owen J. ★★★★★

Assembling this reload kit was straightforward once I got the hang of it, and the aluminum casing felt solid on the launch rail. The motor lit clean and gave a steady burn that made the flight worth the prep time. Already ordered two more for the weekend.

David ★★★★★

The casing threads seated perfectly on my existing hardware, and the delay grains were machined with zero burrs. First flight punched off the pad with a clean, straight burn that left the case barely warm to the touch. This is my third reload and they keep getting more consistent.

Emily ★★★★☆

I've used these reload kits before for high-power rocketry, and the aluminum casing in this kit feels really solid for repeated use. The assembly instructions were clear, though getting the o-ring seated perfectly took a couple of tries. For the price, it's a solid way to get consistent thrust witho
