The AeroTech Reloadable Motor System RMS is an aluminum cased reusable motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. You will need AeroTech RMS-54/2560 motor hardware to build and complete the motor for many reliable flights. Motor hardware is available separately in a complete set, and also as individual parts. This motor requires installing a forward seal disc (54FSD) during assembly. Important: High Power RMS reload kits are not compatible with Mid Power RMS products.

The K1275R-PS is a Plugged/Smoke motor reload. Plugged reload kits do not utilize a motor-actuated delay or ejection charge. Plugged motors must be used in conjunction with a timer, altimeter or radio-activated recovery system.

This RMS motor reload utilizes RCSs exclusive Redline™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a visible scarlet flame. Redline™ motors burning rate lies midway between that of White Lightning™ and Blue Thunder™. Photos don’t do justice to the “laser-beam” intensity and color of Redline™…. you have to see it to appreciate it!

The AeroTech motor reload kit comes with 1 rocket motor reload. Reload kits include all internal motor components and FirstFire™ Initiators. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 2 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 2 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Sebastian O. ★★★★★

Assembling the casing was straightforward even for a first-timer, and the aluminum housing feels solid enough to trust flight after flight. The burn was clean and my rocket came down right on target.

Edward D. ★★★★★

Flew it in my L2 cert rocket and the burn was perfectly consistent, almost textbook. The aluminum casing threaded together smoothly with no galling, which made assembly a breeze. Definitely getting more of these for future high-power flights.

David C. ★★★★★

The instructions were clear enough, and the seals fit perfectly into the aluminum case without any trimming. Packed it for a launch this weekend and the delay charge burned right on time.
