Quest Q-Jets are the world's most advanced 18mm model rocket motors. Q-Jet™ high performance, composite propellant model rocket motors use the same family of solid propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA’s future SLS moon rocket. They utilize a patent pending high-strength polymer case and bulkhead, ceramic nozzle and RCSs exclusive White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces nearly double the specific impulse (or ISP, a propellant efficiency rating) of conventional black powder propellant. They are not susceptible to thermal cycling like black powder motors. Q-Jet™ White Lightning™ rocket motors deliver a brilliant white exhaust plume, dense bright white smoke trail and a throaty roar as the hallmarks of this popular propellant. Easy to track. Exciting to watch!

This Q-Jet™ 2-Motor Launch Pack comes complete with FirstFire™ Micro Initiators and bright orange Parachute Recovery Wadding. All Q-Jet™ motors are U.S. mailable with no hazmat fee!

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

David ★★★★★

These things ignite with a real snap and the White Lightning propellant leaves a beautiful smoky trail that's way more dramatic than the old black powder motors I'm used to. Having two motors in one pack is perfect for back-to-back launches, and the casing threads feel solid every time I screw them

Hannah A. ★★★★★

I was blown away by how smoothly these composite motors ignited — no fizzling or duds like with the cheaper stuff. The boost on the B6-4W was powerful enough for a nice high arc with my 18mm rocket, and the ejection charge popped the chute out right on time.

Joshua N. ★★★★★

These two motors fired off without a hitch, and the composite propellant gives a noticeably smoother, steadier burn than the black powder ones I’m used to. The launch pack having everything in the box meant I was prepping for a flight within minutes of opening it.
