Quest Q-Jets are the world's most advanced 18mm model rocket motors. Q-Jet™ high performance, composite propellant model rocket motors use the same family of solid propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA’s future SLS moon rocket. They utilize a patent pending high-strength polymer case and bulkhead, ceramic nozzle and RCSs exclusive White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces nearly double the specific impulse (or ISP, a propellant efficiency rating) of conventional black powder propellant. They are not susceptible to thermal cycling like black powder motors. Q-Jet™ White Lightning™ rocket motors deliver a brilliant white exhaust plume, dense bright white smoke trail and a throaty roar as the hallmarks of this popular propellant. Easy to track. Exciting to watch!

This Q-Jet™ 2-Motor Launch Pack comes complete with FirstFire™ Micro Initiators and bright orange Parachute Recovery Wadding. All Q-Jet™ motors are U.S. mailable with no hazmat fee!

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Olivia ★★★★★

First time trying composite motors and the difference is obvious the second the launch button hits — way more punch off the pad than the old black powder ones. The white flame is bright enough to watch the whole flight, and both motors in the pack fired clean with no delay issues.

James A. ★★★★★

Swapped these into my 18mm rocket after years of using the old black powder ones, and the difference is obvious the second they light. The composite propellant gives a much cleaner, louder burn, and both motors in the pack fired perfectly on the first try.

Eli ★★★★★

First time trying composite motors instead of the old black powder ones and the difference is obvious — way more punch off the pad and a much cleaner burn. The two-motor pack is handy since I can fly twice in one afternoon without reordering.
