The AeroTech Disposable Motor System DMS is a single-use motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. All of the Aerotech DMS motors use all-disposable components. The nozzle and propellant are already installed. You will need to set the desired delay time using the Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT), Not Included, and then pour in the ejection charge. The Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT) is required to adjust to a shorter time delay on all DMS rocket motors and is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

DMS motors feature a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a molded plastic bulkhead and RCSs exclusive New Blue Thunder™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a beautiful intense blue exhaust jet studded with prominent “mach diamonds.” New Blue Thunder™ motors provide a higher level of thrust than White Lightning™ motors of the same total impulse and are perfect for high lift-off acceleration.

This AeroTech motor pack comes with 1 rocket motor and 1 FirstFire™ Initiator. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 1 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 1 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

James ★★★★★

Assembly took me about ten minutes my first time, and the instructions walked me through the nozzle and propellant fitting without any guesswork. Flew it in a 29mm mount and the burn was clean and consistent all the way up. Nice not having to scrub a casing afterward since the whole thing is disposa

Christopher ★★★★★

The disposable nozzle and propellant meant zero cleanup after the flight, which I really appreciated at the launch site. Kit went together without any hiccups and the single-use setup is perfect for someone like me who doesn't want to deal with reload hardware.

Stella ★★★★★

Assembling the motor took me about fifteen minutes, and the all-disposable nozzle meant zero cleanup afterward. Flew it in my 29mm reload case and the burn was smooth the whole way up. For a single-use kit, the fit and finish on the propellant grain were surprisingly clean.
