The AeroTech Disposable Motor System DMS is a single-use motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. All of the Aerotech DMS motors use all-disposable components. The nozzle and propellant are already installed. You will need to set the desired delay time using the Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT), Not Included, and then pour in the ejection charge. The Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT) is required to adjust to a shorter time delay on all DMS rocket motors and is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

DMS motors feature a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a molded plastic bulkhead and RCSs exclusive White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a brilliant white flame with lots of dense white smoke and a throaty roar at lift-off.

This AeroTech motor pack comes with 1 rocket motor and 1 FirstFire™ Initiator. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 2 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 2 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Customer Reviews (4.4 / 5 · 5 reviews)

Charlotte ★★★★★

The assembly took me about ten minutes, and everything in the kit lined up without any trimming or sanding. Having the nozzle and propellant come pre-loaded in disposable components means no cleanup afterward, which is the whole reason I switched to single-use. Flew perfectly on the first attempt.

William ★★★★★

Assembly took me about ten minutes and it's genuinely tool-free, which I appreciated on the launch field. The 54mm casing fit my reload adapter snugly and the motor burned clean with no nozzle erosion I could see afterward. For a single-use kit, it's surprisingly hassle-free.

Ruby ★★★★★

Assembled it in about ten minutes and the disposable nozzle and propellant meant zero cleanup afterward, which was the whole reason I went with a single-use kit. Flew clean and stable on the first flight.
