Quest Viper Model Rocket Kit - Q1008 - Main image
$13.87 $18.49 In stock

The Viper model rocket combines the simplicity of a single piece fin-unit with the added complexity of parachute recovery. The Viper model rocket provides the perfect combination of a challenge and precision flight. One-piece plastic fin-unit simply slides into position on the body tube. Color coded parts make group building sessions much easier for an adult leader. One of our all-time group favorites! This kit does not require painting and colors of the nose cone and fin-unit may be different than shown in the image.

Quest Skill Level 1 beginner modeler kits may require a little measuring, gluing, sanding and painting. Assembly usually takes 45 to 90 minutes. Drying time for glue and painting could take up to 3 hours.

This kit requires assembly. Hobby glues, finishing supplies, building tools, launch system and rocket motors for launching are not included.

Launch supplies sold separately. Requires Complete Launch System (Q7700), Quest Q-Jet rocket motors with FirstFire Micro Initiators and Recovery Wadding. One 9-volt, snap-top, Lithium battery is required for the Q2 Launch Controller - Not Included.

Also available in Value Packs of 12 (Q5494) and 25 (Q5594) rockets that are perfect for schools, camps, clubs and youth group programs including the Civil Air Patrol, 4H, Starbase and Scouting's Space Exploration Merit Badge requirements.

Andrew ★★★★★

The parachute recovery system worked perfectly on my first launch, deploying just as the rocket peaked. My son and I got a real kick out of tracking its descent, and the whole process felt rewarding without being overly complicated.

Ryan ★★★★★

The single-piece fin unit made assembly way easier than I expected, and the parachute deployment added just the right amount of challenge for a beginner like me. It took a couple tries to get the packing right, but once I did, the recovery was smooth and the rocket landed intact.

Edward ★★★★★

The parachute recovery system worked perfectly on my first flight. This kit hits that sweet spot between being simple enough for a beginner but still feels like a real project to build.
