The AeroTech Reloadable Motor System RMS is an aluminum cased reusable motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. You will need AeroTech RMS-54/426 motor hardware to build and complete the motor for many reliable flights. Motor hardware is available separately in a complete set, and also as individual parts. This motor requires installing a 54mm small nozzle aft closure (54ACCSN) during assembly. Important: High Power RMS reload kits are not compatible with Mid Power RMS products. You will need to set the desired delay time using the 54mm Delay Drilling Tool (54RDDT), Not Included. The 54mm Delay Drilling Tool(54RDDT) is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

This RMS motor reload utilizes RCSs exclusive Blue Thunder™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a gorgeous bright violet-blue flame with a minimum of exhaust smoke. Blue Thunder™ motors provide a higher level of thrust than White Lightning™ motors of the same total impulse and are perfect for high lift-off acceleration.

The AeroTech motor reload kit comes with 1 rocket motor reload. Reload kits include all internal motor components and FirstFire™ Initiators. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 1 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 1 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Chloe K. ★★★★★

Snapped right into my 54/426 casing with zero trimming needed, and the grains looked flawless out of the pack. Burn was smooth and consistent on the way up. Fits my hardware like it was made for it.

Owen ★★★★★

Assembly took me about twenty minutes with the 54/426 hardware and the grains seated without any wobble. Flew it in my mid-power build and the burn was smooth the whole way up. Definitely grabbing another reload kit for the next launch.

Harper T. ★★★★★

The aluminum casing feels solid in hand and the reload components fit together perfectly inside the 54/426 hardware—no filing or forcing needed. First flight after assembly went up clean with a strong burn. I’ve already ordered another pack for my next launch day.
