Quest Q-Jets are the world's most advanced 18mm model rocket motors. Q-Jet™ high performance, composite propellant model rocket motors use the same family of solid propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA’s future SLS moon rocket. They utilize a patent pending high-strength polymer case and bulkhead, ceramic nozzle and RCSs exclusive Black Max™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces nearly double the specific impulse (or ISP, a propellant efficiency rating) of conventional black powder propellant. They are not susceptible to thermal cycling like black powder motors. Q-Jet™ rocket motors deliver faster lift-offs, visible exhaust plume, denser dark tracking smoke & increased reliability at lift-off.

This Q-Jet™ 2-Motor Launch Pack comes complete with FirstFire™ Micro Initiators and bright orange Parachute Recovery Wadding. All Q-Jet™ motors are U.S. mailable with no hazmat fee!

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Customer Reviews (4.8 / 5 · 4 reviews)

Andrew ★★★★★

The composite propellant burns way smoother than the old black powder motors I’m used to, and having two engines in the pack means I can get a second flight in before the field trip ends. For the clearance price, this was an absolute steal.

Alexander O. ★★★★★

Snagged these on clearance and couldn't be happier—the composite propellant burns cleaner than the old black powder motors I've used, and both lit on the first try. Wish I'd bought more before they were gone.

Olivia ★★★★★

The two motors in this pack flew flawlessly on my Estes rocket, and the composite propellant gave a noticeably smoother, more powerful boost than the old black powder ones I'm used to. Even though it's a clearance item, the quality feels top-notch. Definitely stocking up before they're gone.
