The AeroTech Disposable Motor System DMS is a single-use motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. All of the Aerotech DMS motors use all-disposable components. The nozzle and propellant are already installed. You will need to set the desired delay time using the Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT), Not Included, and then pour in the ejection charge. The Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT) is required to adjust to a shorter time delay on all DMS rocket motors and is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

DMS motors feature a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a molded plastic bulkhead and RCSs exclusive Super White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a brilliant white flame with lots of dense white smoke and a throaty roar at lift-off. Super White Lightning™ has a higher specific impulse, a higher density and a higher burn rate than White Lightning™ propellant.

This AeroTech motor pack comes with 1 rocket motor and 1 FirstFire™ Initiator. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 1 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 1 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Olivia D. ★★★★★

Putting this kit together took maybe ten minutes, and the all-disposable nozzle and propellant design meant zero cleanup afterward. That first launch went up perfectly stable, and I’m already planning my next flight with another one.

Sebastian ★★★★★

Finally, a motor that's prepped in minutes instead of a whole afternoon. The threaded forward closure made assembly a cinch, and the single-use casing meant zero cleanup after the flight.

Riley ★★★★★

I used this on a 4-inch diameter rocket and the 29mm casing fit perfectly. Nozzle was easy to install and the motor lit right up with a nice steady burn.
