The AeroTech Reloadable Motor System RMS is an aluminum cased reusable motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. You will need AeroTech RMS-29/40-120 motor hardware to build and complete the motor for many reliable flights. Motor hardware is available separately in a complete set, and also as individual parts. Important: Mid Power RMS reload kits are not compatible with High Power RMS products. This RMS motor reload utilizes RCSs exclusive Black Max™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a visible black exhaust plume and a denser dark tracking smoke. Black Max™ motors provide a higher level of thrust than White Lightning™ motors of the same total impulse and are perfect for high lift-off acceleration.

The AeroTech motor reload kit comes with 1 rocket motor reload. Reload kits include all internal motor components and FirstFire™ Initiators. This AeroTech motor is U.S. mailable with no hazmat fee! The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

Scarlett ★★★★★

Assembling this one took maybe fifteen minutes once I got the hang of it, and the aluminum casing fit together with satisfyingly snug threads. The reload components were packed clean and everything aligned on the first try, which is more than I can say for some other kits I've wrestled with.

Grace ★★★★★

The reload kit itself is compact and organized, so all the components stay accounted for during assembly. Slots right into the 29/40-120 casing without any wrestling, and the burn was clean and consistent. Took about ten minutes to put together my first one.

Benjamin ★★★★★

The hardware fit together perfectly—no filing or sanding needed to get the casing to seat right. First flight with a G80 put the rocket up to 1,200 feet, exactly as expected.
