The AeroTech Disposable Motor System DMS is a single-use motor in kit form that is assembled by the user. All of the Aerotech DMS motors use all-disposable components. The nozzle and propellant are already installed. You will need to set the desired delay time using the Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT), Not Included, and then pour in the ejection charge. The Universal Delay Drilling Tool (UDDT) is required to adjust to a shorter time delay on all DMS rocket motors and is available in the AeroTech Accessories section of this website.

DMS motors feature a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a molded plastic bulkhead and RCSs exclusive White Lightning™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulation, which produces a brilliant white flame with lots of dense white smoke and a throaty roar at lift-off.

This AeroTech motor pack comes with 1 rocket motor and 1 FirstFire™ Initiator. Requires HAZMAT shipping via UPS or FEDEX. The sale of this high power motor to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. This is a High-Power motor requiring Level 2 High-Power certification through NAR or Tripoli to purchase. Orders containing this item will not be shipped until proof of age (such as a copy of a driver’s license) and proof of Level 2 certification is received.

Certified by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR).

James H. ★★★★★

I was really impressed by how straightforward the assembly was with the disposable nozzle and propellant components all fitting together perfectly. It lit on the first try and the burn was smooth and consistent for the whole flight.

John ★★★★★

My nephew and I assembled this motor together — it was surprisingly easy with the clear instructions, and watching that 38mm nozzle roar was a thrill. The burn time felt just right, and it boosted our rocket high enough to need binoculars to track.

Thomas ★★★★★

I've built a few of these DMS motors now, and the all-disposable nozzle and propellant design makes cleanup a breeze after launch. The kit goes together cleanly in about 10 minutes with no special tools needed.
