The 4 inch fit is spot on for my mid-power build and the balsa sands down so easily when I need to shape it to the motor tube. Way lighter than the plywood rings I've used before, which is exactly what I wanted for this rocket.

Wasn't sure balsa would hold up for a 4 inch build but it's surprisingly sturdy and light. Sanded it down to fit my tube in just a few minutes and the centering is dead on.

The holes lined up perfectly with my motor mount tubes, so assembly took barely any time. For a balsa part, this 4.0 inch ring feels dense and solid, and it’s held its shape through a couple of dry fits without any splintering.
